If the user desires to change the network name (SSID), SSID password (Pre-Shared Key) or any other WiFi settings including encryption parameters or channel and device settings then the user can do so via the WiFi-enabled Internet modem web-based interface. The user should note thatthe network name can be known as a Wireless Network Name or SSID and the WiFi password can be known as a WPA Pre-Shared Key. To change the password the user needs to type http://192.168.0.1 in the browser bar while connected to the Arris WiFi-enabled Internet modem (either directly or via WiFi). Then enter the username and password to get into the settings of the WiFi-enabled Internet modem. The usename and password is generally set up by the technician during installation and are different from the chosen network name (SSID) and password that the user used to connect the devices to the WiFi. If the user does not have the username and password for the WiFi-enabled Internet modem then he or she can try using the default equipment settings. Then Select from the menu options the relevant section to make any changes. From there, the user can select the new password for the Arris router and click save and ok.
